Back on blogspot for a while...

Traveling via Beijing and being in Vietnam I had no access to this web page. Now I am in Kuala Lumpur airport, on way back home waiting for a plane to Beijing and get an access to my blog for a while. When I come back home I will publish more details about my recent activity. Now there is not too much time for that. Thank you to all for QSOs! By the way, I saw a few spots on cluster informing that split 3 khz is too small. Unfortunately, I had strong QRM up 5 as well as down 5 so decided to do not search better frequency only stay on 14260 with narrow split. I wasn't sure how long is this opening and wanted to utilize all its time.
Final continent statistics you will find here:

Only 5 days left...

My holidays are approaching very fast however I am very busy now and have no time to prepare and pack all equipment. My serious concern is that I will forget about something packing everything at the last minute as happened during my previous trip to Vietnam in 2012 when I forgot the power supply to my notebook.
Anyway, all bookings have been already made, air tickets bought and I cannot wait my vacation and first QSOs from Con Son. I am also remembering the taste of prawns I had eaten 3 years ago. I hope that nothing has changed and I will relish them on Con Son as I did in on Phu Quoc Island.
See you on air!

Antennas

Having regard to the advice and comments of Larry K5MK I decided not to use, during this activity, my Buddipole. I bring with me W8AMZ 40m wire vertical antenna as well as Spiderbeam asymmetrical inverted vee for 20-17-15-12-10m bands. I hope it will work better than Buddipole and also will allow me to change quickly a band without rebuilding the antenna configuration.
